1. Acceptance

By using Basalt, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please close the tab gently and go about your day.

2. What you get

Basalt provides an AI chat interface. Guests may send up to 5 messages per hour. Signed-in users may send messages up to the limits of our capacity, infrastructure, and patience.

3. What you may not do

  • Use Basalt to break laws or harm people.
  • Attempt to overload, scrape, or abuse the service.
  • Send content that violates reasonable standards of decency.
  • Blame us for anything an AI says.

4. Accounts and termination

We use Google sign-in for accounts. We may suspend or terminate access for abuse, excessive automation, or being unpleasant to the maintainers.

5. Privacy and data use

Your messages are stored and may be used to improve the product. See the Privacy Policy for the cheerful details.

6. Disclaimers and liability

Basalt is provided as-is. The model may hallucinate, misquote, or confidently state falsehoods. Do not use it for medical, legal, or financial decisions unless you enjoy risk. Our liability is limited to the amount you paid us, which is probably zero.

7. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms. The date at the top of this page is updated whenever we remember to do so.
